On Campus Resources

The Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) is dedicated to celebrating all forms of diversity. The Assistant Director for Sexual/Gender Diversity works specifically with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer/Questioning populations here at UNC Charlotte. Spectrum is a student organization at UNC Charlotte that is dedicated to allies of all sexual orientations and gender identities who support equality and diversity of the LGBTQ and intersex communities.


Trans at UNC Charlotte is a web resource operated by the Multicultural Resource Center that contains information, UNC Charlotte policies, and support for Trans Students.  Additionally you can find links to national Trans organizations and a UNC Charlotte restroom guide.  TRANS*


Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

The Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers individual and group counseling to any interested enrolled student.  Students can have up to 12 free sessions and unlimited group counseling.  All of the full time counselors at the CAPS are Safe Zone Allies.  Additionally several counselors have specific training in working with the LGBTQ Community.  Center for Counseling and Psychological Services


Dean of Students / Office of Student Conduct is a safe place for students to report bias incidents or hate crimes.  The Dean of Students Office can also provide assistance with missing classes or withdrawling from the University.  Dean of Students Office
