Message from IEE

To the UNC Charlotte campus community and our community partners,

Due to the recent updates and guidance from the university, there will be a shift in our daily operations here in the Office of Identity, Equity, and Engagement causing our staff to work remotely. We can be contacted via email and phone and are also available for virtual video and chat. Contact information can be found here

Our first priority is the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Amid the updates surrounding the coronavirus, we know that each of us have different and complex reactions and concerns and there is no one right way to react or feel. We encourage our campus community to stay connected to our office and their other on and off-campus resources for support.

We also know that there has been a rise in xenophobia, racism, and ableism as it relates to narratives about COVID-19. Our BART will still be in operation and we encourage students, faculty, and staff to continue to submit bias related incident reports as necessary. The IEE staff is available via phone, email, and virtual video and chat for support and guidance.

With care and support,

Office of Identity, Equity, and Engagement
